President Obama not likely to attend Ali's funeral
Washington, Jun 9 (IBNS): US President Barack Obama will not be attending the funeral of the departed boxer Muhammad Ali to be held at Louisville on Friday owing to family engagements, according to media reports.
It was widely expected that the US President will be attending the funeral.
The service conflicts with Obama's daughter Malia’s high school graduation from Sidwell Friends in Washington, reported the Louisville Courier-Journal.
Obama has spoken to Ali’s wife, Lonnie, and will send top adviser Valerie Jarrett to read a statement, the media reported quoting family spokesman Bob Gunnell.
