AAP MLAs row : Kejriwal slams PM Modi

New Delhi, June 14 (IBNS) In yet another confrontation with the Centre, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi after an amendment for exempting the appointment of 21 AAP MLAs as parliamentary secretaries was rejected by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Holding Modi responsible for the presidential decision, Kejriwal alleged that the Prime Minister is not allowing AAP MLAs to work since he feels threatened by them.

He also said that it was the conspiracy of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) against the Delhi government.

"No perks are being given to parliamentary secretaries. They are in other states too, why no action is being taken against them?", he said.

Kejriwal said, "MLAs are spending their own money, petrol to provide service to the people of Delhi and no perks are being provide to them. All MLAs are working for free, with no compensation or reimbursement. So what problem does Prime Minister Narendra Modi has with this?"
