President Mukherjee wishes people on eve of Independence Day of Belarus

New Delhi, July 2 (IBNS) President of India Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Belarus on the eve of their Independence Day.

In a message to  Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the friendly people of Belarus on the occasion of your Independence Day."

"It is matter of satisfaction that the mutually beneficial cooperation between India and Belarus has assumed new vigour and substance in recent times and we have agreed to take our partnership to greater heights in the diverse areas identified by us," he said.

"I recall with satisfaction my visit to Belarus in 2015 and our fruitful discussions on the full range of issues on our bilateral agenda," Mukherjee said.

"I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Belarus,” he said.
