West Bengal: TMCP group clash in Howrah college

Kolkata, Jul 2 (IBNS): Several students were injured during a clash between two groups of ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s student wing Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) in Narasinha Dutt (ND) College in West Bengal's Howrah district on Saturday, reports said.

According to reports, two rival groups of TMCP engaged in a tussle with each other over 1st year students' admission. Few outsiders allegedly joined the clash inside college campus.

A huge police force rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Few students, who are TMCP activists as well, were injured in the clash and taken to Howrah State General Hospital.
