Pretoria, July 8 (IBNS): Visiting South Africa as a part of his four-nation Africa tour, Prime Minister Narenbdra Modi on Friday met country's President Jacob Zuma.
Modi said he discussed bilateral ties between India and South Africa with the President.
"Adding renewed vigour to an old friendship...PM @narendramodi & @SAPresident discuss India-SA ties. @PresidencyZA," PMO India tweeted.
After completing his visit to Mozambique, Modi reached South Africa on Thursday.
He will later visit Tanzania and Kenya.
In South Africa, Modi received ceremonial welcome at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted: "
A South African beginning! Ceremonial welcome greets PM @narendramodi on arrival at Union Buildings, Pretoria."
