Hawk aircraft crash: Probe ordered, no injury reported

Kalaikunda, West Bengal, Aug 4 (IBNS): The Indian Air Force (IAF) has ordered a probe into the Hawk Aircraft crash, which took place earlier in the day, an official release stated.

"A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident," the release read.

A Hawk advanced jet trainer of Indian Air Force on Thursday crashed in West Bengal's Kalaikunda after the take off from the defence airbase there.

The aircraft took off around 10:30 am and soon developed a snag leading to the crash.

Both the pilots have been ejected safely, the release said.
