Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, Aug 11 (IBNS) : In an appalling incident, a 10-month-old boy died in a district hospital in Uttar Pradesh after staff members demanded bribe from the parents and the baby's treatment got delayed, media reports said on Thursday.

The child’s mother Sumita said that her son could have been saved had the nurses pushed the injection to him on time.

Reports quoted the  baby’s father Shiv as saying that first a nurse and then a sweeper demanded bribe to allot the baby a bed.
The baby, who wRas admitted on Sunday, was suffering from fever and needed  immediate treatment, but the alleged demand for bribe and the subsequent argument both sides made it too late for him to survive.
Reports said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
