Priti Patel calls on PM Modi

New Delhi, Aug 13 (IBNS): Priti Patel MP, UK Secretary of State for International Development called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

The Prime Minister congratulated Patel on her appointment as Secretary of State for International Development.

The Prime Minister recalled that Patel has had a long association with India in her previous roles, and visited India many times.

The Prime Minister recalled his successful visit to UK last year in November, and appreciated the follow up action taken on the outcomes of the visit.

Patel briefed the Prime Minister on the activities and future plans of Department for International Development in India.

Patel also discussed bilateral cooperation in the spheres of skill development, infrastructure financing, innovation, energy, and ease of doing business.
