In order to overcome the constraint of funds and expedite the construction of roads, Jitendra Singh said some of the rural roads are being handed over to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) to be taken up under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The DoNER Ministry will, however, continue to do the follow up for expeditious completion of these road projects, he added.
Jitendra Singh said that he had discussed with Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda about the planned medical college to be set up in Nagaland for which the Health Minister was very positive in his response.
He suggested the Chief Minister to direct his Resident Commissioner based in New Delhi to follow up the issues related to Nagaland State with the different Union Ministries for their speedy implementation.
Zeliang informed Jitendra Singh that he will be leaving for Malaysia tomorrow to attend an international meet, accompanied by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu.
