Srinagar, Sept 4 (IBNS): As the 30-member-delegation headed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Srinagar on Sunday for a two-day visit in the state, dozens of people have been injured in violent clashes in Kashmir's Shopian, reports said.

The all-party delegation from 20 parties aims to find a solution to the Kashmir’s current cycle of violence that was triggered by the death of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani.

The delegation is expected to meet  different sections of people, various representatives and political parties at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC).

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has also reached SKICC to meet the delegation.

The Valley witnessed 56 days of harsh curfew during which 73 people have lost their lives and thousands have been injured in the protests that followed the encounter on July 8.

CM Mehbooba Muft has invited leaders of separatist group Hurriyat Conference for talks with an all-party delegation

The letter by Mehbooba Mufti however has been sent to Hurriyat not in her capacity as the chief minister but as party president of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
