Cabinet approves signing of the Extradition Treaty between India and Afghanistan

New Delhi, Sep 12 (IBNS): The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the signing and ratification of the Extradition Treaty between India and Afghanistan prior to the Afghan President's visit to India,
The treaty signed would provide a legal framework for seeking extradition of terrorists, economic offenders and other criminals from and to the Afghanistan.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr Mohammad Ashraf Ghani will pay a working visit to India on Sep 14-15, 2016, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a release on Sep 10.
