Massive blaze guts firecrackers factory near Kolkata

Kolkata, Sept 20 (IBNS): A major fire broke out in a fireworks factory at Govindapur area under Sonarpur Police Station limits in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district on Tuesday afternoon, reports said.

According to reports, the fire started at around 12:30 pm., triggering panic and scare among the locals.

As many as three fire tender engines rushed to the spot and firemen fought for hours to douse the massive blaze.

No casualty was reported in the incident.
