Navjot Singh Sidhu not to form any political party?

Amritsar, Sept 21 (IBNS): In his new strategy, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday said that his forum 'Awaaz-E-Punjab' is not a political party.

According to reports, Sidhu said his forum is open to allying with anyone to break the “Badal-Amarinder nexus”.

“We will not play spoilsport.... We shall not confuse the people of Punjab but give them clarity to vote in Punjab’s interest," Sidhu was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

"We will not divide the anti-incumbency vote bank which could benefit the corroborative and collusive Badal-Amarinder nexus which has plundered Punjab in the last 15 years. This will defeat our purpose of bringing a change for the betterment of Punjab,” he said.

On September 8, Sidhu launched the 'Awaaz-e-Punjab', saying his move is to fight against the system and the leaders who had "ruined" Punjab.

The cricketer-turned-politician  had resigned from the Rajy Sabha on July 18, stoking speculations over the possibility of his joining the Aam Aadmi Party.
