India-France Rafale deal scheduled to be signed on Friday
The deal, settled at a package of Euro 7.878-billion (around Rs 59,000 crore), is scheduled to be signed in the presence of French Defence Minister Jean Yves Le Drian and Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, the media reported
While the MoU was signed in January 2016 in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande, negotiations were on regarding the price.
The multi-role fighter jets are designed and built by Dassault Aviation.
The fighter jets will be fitted with 14 India-specific enhancements and a modern air-to-air missile, reported The Indian Express.
