Guwahati, Oct 1 (IBNS) : Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will release the “Assam Human Development Report 2014” and the Vision and Strategic Architecture Document on SDGs, namely, "Assam 2030: Our Dream, Our Commitment" during a function to be held at Assam Administrative Staff College (AASC), Khanapara, on Oct 3.

The release of the documents will be followed by the inaugural session of two-day Conference on the Innovation Lab being organised in collaboration with UNDP for implementation of the recently launched Chief Minister’s Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY).

Assam Minister for Finance, Planning and Development Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Several targeted issues have been taken up for study in the “Assam Human Development Report 2014”- poverty alleviation, youth employment, gender aspects of work, agriculture and rural development, the informal sector and work during crisis and in post-crisis situations.

The Report seeks to diagnose critical areas and identify remedial measures for the Government and civil society organizations to participate more constructively, creatively and equitably in the process of the development of the State.
