President Pranab Mukherjee wishes people of Cyprus on Independence Day

New Delhi, Oct 1 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Cyprus on the occasion of their Independence Day.

In a message to  Nicos Anastasiades, the President of the Republic of Cyprus,Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government and people of India and on my own behalf, I have pleasure in extending greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and to the people of the Republic of Cyprus on the occasion of your Independence Day."

"India and Cyprus have traditionally enjoyed close and warm relations. Our two countries share common views and perspectives on many important global issues. I am confident that our fruitful bilateral cooperation will continue to grow in the coming years to the benefit of our two peoples," he said.

"I would like to take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your good health and well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Cyprus,”Mukherjee said.
