New Delhi, Oct 4 (IBNS): Amid pressure being mounted on the Centre to reveal the proofs of the surgical strike by Indian Army across the Line of Control, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed all who are casting doubts on the operation.

Addressing media persons in Leh on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said:  "Every child in India believes in Indian Army. We respect them and will continue to do so."

Earlier in the evening, the Congress Party said it has "full faith" in the DGMO's statement regarding the surgical strike by the Indian armed force in PoK and urged the government "to call the Pakistani bluff."

In a media statement, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, "Congress Party has full faith in the brave hearts of Indian Armed Forces in conducting a surgical strike."

He said the party is "proud" of the the Indian Army's action.

He said, "There has never been a reason to raise a question or doubt on the statements by DGMO on surgical strike."

Surjewala however said that the government needs to "call the Pakistani bluff and false propaganda by using all information, evidence and instruments at the disposal of the Indian state."

He also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "stop politicizing the sacrifices and bravery of the Indian soldiers for myopic political gain."

The party also disowned its leader Sanjay Nirupam's suggestion that last week's surgical strikes across the Line of Control are "fake" unless the government offers proof.

On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended his support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the surgical strikes carried out the Indian army and urged him to prove that Pakistan is lying on this matter by revealing proofs of the attack on terrorists' launch pads on Pok.

Amid mass anger in India over the Uri Army camp attack in Kashmir, India on Wednesday past midnight carried out surgical strikes crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, targeting terrorist launchpads working from within the neighbouring country, the army said.

The strikes were launched by the Indian Army at the KG sector of Poonch district. Two Pakistani soldiers were reportedly killed.

Pakistan denied that there were surgical attacks calling India's claims as "fabrication of truth".

Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif also warned India against any aggression.

According to reports, the Indian government has said that it will decide when and if to share evidence of last week's strikes. Footage and stills were recorded in part through drones, government sources have said.
