Dadri lynching accused dies in judicial custody

New Delhi, Oct 4 (IBNS): An accused of Dadri lynching case, who was involved in the murder of Mohammad Akhlaq, has died in judicial custody, media reports said.

According to reports quoting police, the accused, Robin, died of kidney and respiratory failure.

He was taken to a hospital two days ago after he complained of some pain, said reports.

Robin's family has, however, alleged foul play.

They have accused the jailer of beating up Robin in the jail custody.

A post-mortem will be conducted on Wednesday to understand the exact cause of death.

An enquiry will also be set up.

Mohammad Akhlaq was was dragged out of his home and lynched to death by a mob in Uttar Pradesh's Dadri a year ago over rumours that he had stored beef and his family slaughtered cow.
