Kuala Lumpur, Oct 7 (IBNS) : A piece of debris of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which mysteriously disappeared in March 2014 with 239 passengers and crew on board, has reportedly been found.

Reports quoted a statement issued by Malayasian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said that the piece of plane debris found in Mauritius belonged to the ill-fated aircraft.

According to reports, analysis by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has found  the debris to be consistent with the trailing edge of an aircraft wing.

The Boeing 777 disappeared on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, prompting a  two-year-long multi-nation  search that proved futile except for turning up  few leads.

Two pieces of plane debris were previously confirmed as being from the missing jet. The first was recovered from the French island of Reunion in July 2015, while the second was found on the island of Pemba, off the coast of Tanzania in June 2016.
