Curfew imposed in seven police station areas of Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 7 (IBNS) : Authorities imposed curfew in seven police station areas of Srinagar city on Friday morning to prevent a protest march to the UN observer's office called by resistance leaders.

The separatists had urged people to march to the UN Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) headquarter office in Sonawar area.

All roads to Sonawar's high security zone have been sealed and movement of vehicles and pedestrians to UNMOGIP office have been disallowed.

The police station areas where curfew has been imposed are Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Safakadal, Maharaj Gunj, Maisuma and Batamaloo.
