Security forces bust two NDFB(S) camps along Assam-Arunachal border
According to the reports, based on intelligence input, Assam police and army launched an operation at Diring Nala area along the border with Arunachal Pradesh, where a group of the Bodo militants were hiding.
“When the troops reached the area, the militants started firing and heavy bullets exchanged. At least three militants had managed to flee from the dense forest area, but security personnel apprehended a hardcore militant,” an Assam police official said.
The nabbed militant was identified as John Bikram Mushahary alias M Barlangmuthur and security personnel recovered a handmade rifle, ammunition in possession from him.
Security forces also recovered warlike stores from the busted camp.
NDFB(S) is active in Assam and some bordering parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Over 100 militants of the outfit group were nabbed by security forces from the both states in the past year during ongoing all clear operation against the Bodo militant group.
