New Delhi, Oct 17 (IBNS): In an attempt to woo Hindu voters ahead of the Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh, Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma will visit Ayodhya on Tuesday to inspect the disputed site for setting up a Ramayana museum.

Sharma, however, said the purpose of his visit to Ayodhya is strictly based on tourism development plan.

Sharma told CNN-News18 that the museum will be a part of the Ramayana Circuit for Indian tourism.

Sharma is also expected hold discussion with Ramayana Circuit Advisory Board during the visit.

The construction of the Ram temple has been a significant issue for the Bharatiya Janata Party in every election.

The party has tried hard to raise the issue in almost every election to win the support of the Hindu voters.
