JNU student reported missing after brawl, parents on protest on campus

New Delhi, Oct 18 (IBNS) : A student of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has been reported missing from the campus since Saturday after an alleged brawl with supporters of a rival students' body, reports said.

Left activists have alleged that Najeeb Ahmed, a student of  the School of Biotechnology, reportedly went missing after he had a fight with activists of the ABVP on Friday night during a campaign for the election of a mess committee.

His parents are on a protest sit-in  near his hostel. 

The ABVP, affiliated to the BJP, has denied that its supporters had clashed with Najeeb.

IThe JNU administration has  issued a statement saying the campus is being searched thoroughghly.
