Group of IAS Officers of 2014 batch interact with 11 Union Ministers led by Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Oct 19 (IBNS): About 35 IAS Officers of 2014 Batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre as well as Officers who are domicile of Uttar Pradesh, presently posted in various Ministries or Departments as Assistant Secretaries, participated in an interactive session with 11 Union Ministers led by Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Wednesday.

Addressing the young IAS Officers, Rajnath Singh called upon them to always uphold their reputation and credibility.

Asking them to bear empathy for the last man in the queue, he said that the IAS Officers shoulder big responsibility in the district and must win the trust of the common people without hurting their feelings.

Recalling his tenure as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,Rajnath Singh asked the IAS Officers not to hesitate to put across their point of view before the Ministers in case of difference of opinion.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said the IAS Officer being the steward of Administration in the district, should always show concern to the interests of poor people.

He asked them to show sensitivity to issues of the Armed Forces personnel and Ex-Servicemen. Minister of Women and Child Development,  Maneka Sanjay Gandhi said as District Magistrates, the IAS Officers should show a sense of compassion and kindness to resolve the problems of the common man.
