Tamil Nadu Governor visits ailing Jayalalithaa in hospital

Chennai, Oct 22 (IBNS): Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao, on Saturday, paid a visit to the state chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who is admitted in hospital in Chennai, according to media reports.

Jayalalithaa, 68, was admitted to Chennai Apollo Hospital on Sep 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.

Although a stream of other VIPs have called at the hospital since she was admitted, no one has been allowed to meet the ailing CM, media reported.

This is the Governor's second visit in a month.

Apollo Hospital's chairman apprised the Governor of the CM's health, media reported.

Later, Governor Vidyasagar Rao said that Jayalalithaa is under observation and responding well to treatment, media reported.
