Pranab Mukherjee wishes Zambia on eve of Independence Day of Zambia

New Delhi, Oct 23 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Zambia on the eve of their Independence Day.

In a message to Edgar C. Lungu, the President of the Republic of Zambia, Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend to you and to the people of Zambia warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day."

"India and Zambia have traditionally shared cordial and friendly relations. I am confident that our relations will be strengthened further in the years to come – for the mutual benefit of our two peoples," he said.

"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your continued good health and well-being as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Zambia," he said.
