Chennai, Oct 29 (IBNS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who is admitted in Chennai's Apollo Hospital, signed the poll papers with her thumbprint, the media reported on Saturday.

The CM was admitted to hospital on Sep 22 following complaints of fever and dehydration.

According to media reports, citing that she has an 'inflamed right hand', the CM affixed the impression of her left thumb in the election document authorising AK Bose as AIADMK’s official nominee for the November 19 bypoll to Thirupparankundram.

The seat fell vacant following the death of SM Seenivel, the sitting MLA also from the AIADMK.
