Scrapping of Rs. 500, Rs 1000 notes: Amit Shah backs Central govt's decision

New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS): BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government's decision to discontinue Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 rupee notes.

"PM @narendramodi ji's decision to discontinue Rs. 500 & Rs.1000 rupee note will immensely help eliminating the corruption," Shah tweeted.

"On behalf of all BJP Karyakartas, I compliment the Central Govt & PM @narendramodi for taking tough but timely & path-breaking measures," he said.

He said: "Announcements made by PM @narendramodi are exactly what is needed to uproot corruption, black money, hawala & fake currency rackets."
