Altogether 347 cadets (including one cadet from Tanzanian Navy) from four passing out courses, viz., 91st Indian Naval Academy Course (BTech), 91st Indian Naval Academy Course (MSc), 22nd Naval Orientation Course (Extended) and 23rd Naval Orientation Course (Regular), will pass out on successful completion of their training.
The passing out cadets include 26 female cadets, of which 21 would join the Indian Navy and five would join the Indian Coast Guard.
Vice Admiral AR Karve, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding – in – Chief, Southern Naval Command will be the Reviewing Officer on the occasion.
The parade will be witnessed by parents and guardians of the passing out cadets as well as a large number of outstation dignitaries. Various Sainik school cadets, NCC cadets, students and teachers of local schools and colleges have been invited to witness the parade during the Commandant’s Review on 23 November 2016 and also for the final Passing out Parade on 26 November 2016.
INA’s four year B Tech degree course is accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is conducted under the aegis of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
As part of the events connected with POP, cadets of 91st INAC will be awarded their BTech degree by Dr Surendra Pal, Vice Chancellor, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune during the Convocation Ceremony scheduled on 25 November 2016, in presence of their proud parents and guardians.
