Kolkata: Bengal Guv supports Modi govt's demonetisation
While addressing an event, organized by country's one of the apex trade associations- Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (Assocham), in Kolkata, Tripathi said, "The government has taken a bold step to root out the black money."
"Let us abandon the negative thoughts. This step will bring a sustained growth in country's economy," the governor added.
Meanwhile, several opposition parties will be holding a dharna in New Delhi's Gandhi Statue area and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee will demonstrate over demonetisation issue at Jantar Mantar area on Wednesday, while her party is going to walk in Kolkata, protesting the same issue, on the same day.
