New Delhi, Nov 26 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed corruption charges against AAP leader Amanatullah Khan, reports said.

Khan is the party legislator from Okhla.

In their charges, the CBI said that Khan was involved in recruitment scam and financial irregularities during his tenure as Chairman of Delhi Waqf Board.

"We have registered a corruption case against the then chairman of Delhi Waqf Board and unknown persons under IPC sections related to criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act related to criminal misconduct and corruption," a senior CBI official was quoted as saying by DNA.

Reacting to this, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal said that the CBI should also register a case against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"CBI shud register a case against Modi ji in Birla and Sahara diaries," Kejriwal's tweet read.
