Patna, Dec 9 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Bihar is constructing a double-decker fly-over which will be not only the first such bridge in the state but also in the whole of north India.

The three km-long flyover will come up in Chapra, the headquarters of Saran district at the cost of Rs 300 crore (Rs 3 billion).

This is the first time that the state will be spending so much amount in constructing a flyover outside the state capital.

Reports said the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation is preparing the DPR of the project which will prove to be the milestone in the development of the state.

Right now, only Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra boast of such flyovers.

Bihar has constructed over 5000 road over-bridges in the past one decade since the Nitish Kumar government came to power in the state.
