Bhubaneswar, Jan 4 (IBNS): A local court in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday sent Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay to CBI custody for six days.

After hour-long interrogation in Kolkata, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday arrested TMC's Parliamentary leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay in connection with Rose Valley chit fund scam and he was flown to Bhubaneswar at midnight.

The senior leader of West Bengal's ruling party was produced before a local court in Odisha's Khurdha and the court sent him to CBI custody for six days.

According to CBI sources, Sudip Bandyopadhyay and actor-turned-TMC Lok Sabha MP Tapas Pal, who is also in CBI custody in the same case, will be interrogated together in the Central probe agency's custody in Bhubaneswar.

However, Sudip Bandyopadhyay will be produced to the same court again on Jan 10.
