BSNL launches new mobile wallet service 'Mobi Cash' with SBI

Kolkata, Jan 24 (IBNS): Strengthening Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign, BSNL in collaboration with State Bank of India launched a new mobile wallet service 'Mobi Cash' here on Tuesday.

This service provides flexibility to send and receive money instantly.

Briefing media, S P Tripathi, CGM, Calcutta Telephones, said that the application aims to promote the government’s initiative of digitization. Mobi Cash could also be used conveniently for shopping without cash through SBI and people not having SBI accounts could also avail the facility easily just like other e-wallet apps, he added. Customers having smart phones can access this facility by downloading the app from Google play store.

Those not having smart phones can avail this service by dialling *511# from their phones and then following the instructions. Customers can also visit the authorized retailer shops for availing the service, he added.

BSNL also introduced a new plan voucher of Rs. 149, for new prepaid mobile customers.

Under this scheme, customers will get all local and STD voice calls free of cost for 30 days.

Customers can also avail unlimited call facility to all networks by paying Rs. 439 per month. Under this scheme, 30 minute per day will be given free for first 90 days. After that, they have to pay a charge of 80 paise per minute, said, Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD, BSNL.
