Kolkata, Feb 2 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday sent a notice to the commissioner of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), seeking detailed reports related to the trade licences of Saradha Group, officials said.

According to CBI officers, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation issued several trade licence to Saradha Group and Companies, allowing them to begin their business in the city.

"The KMC issued a large number of trade licences to Saradha companies at a same address. We have served the notice for second time to get all details relating to the trade licences, issues by KMC," a senior official of CBI told IBNS.

However, KMC's municipal commissioner Khalil Ahmed could not be reached over phone and no reaction has been received from the KMC authority so far.
