PSLV-C37: PM Modi congratulates ISRO scientists

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IBNS); Following the successful launch of PSLV-C37 satellite by ISRO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated them for the feat.

"Congratulations to @isro for the successful launch of PSLV-C37 and CARTOSAT satellite together with 103 nano satellites!" his tweet read.

Hailing it as a 'remarkable feat', the Prime Minister said, "This remarkable feat by @isro is yet another proud moment for our space scientific community and the nation. India salutes our scientists."

The Prime Minister also spoke to the secretary of department of space following the successful launch.

"Spoke to the Secretary, Department of Space and congratulated him & the entire team of scientists on today's exceptional achievement,' his tweet read.

In a major move, ISRO on Wednesday launched a record 104 satellites on a single rocket from the spaceport in Sriharikota.

The success will make India the first nation  to carry so many satellites in a single mission.

"PSLV-C37 / Cartosat-2 series Mission Lift off Normal as expected," ISRO tweeted.
