Palaniswamy wins ruckus-marred trust vote in Tamil Nadu
The Speaker declared Palaniswami won the motion with 122 votes.
The Tamil Nadu Assembly was adjourned twice on Saturday as violence and lawlessness continued with a heckled Speaker being escorted out of the House.
DMK working president MK Stalin led his MLAs to protest before the Raj Bhavan.
Unruly Opposition members had been demanding secret ballot, which Speaker P Dhanapal rejected.
The Speaker had ordered eviction of the DMK MLAs for the trouble and destruction they indulged in creating a bedlam, failed to get it executed.
The situation went to such a pass that police had to move in.
Chief Minister Palaniswamy now has the support of 122, excluding the Speaker, after another AIADMK legislator withdrew his support to Palaniswamy.
