PM Modi and his Australian counterpart take the Delhi Metro to Akshardham Temple

New Delhi, Apr 10 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull took the Delhi Metro for their trip to the famous Akshardham Temple in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull arrived in India on Sunday for a four-day visit.

Tweeted PM Modi, "On board the Delhi Metro with PM @TurnbullMalcolm. We are heading to the Akshardham Temple," along with a picture of the Australian PM clicking a selfie.

The Australian PM too tweeted, " With @narendramodi on the Delhi Metro Blue Line - 212 kms & 159 stations since 2002." He later retweeted the Indian PM's tweet.

Later, both prime ministers took a tour of the temple complex.

The temple and cultural complex is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830).
