Farooq Abdullah takes early lead in Kashmir bypoll
Srinagar, Apr 15 (IBNS) Former Unioun Minister and National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah of National Conference has taken early lead over his nearest rival Nazir Khan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as counting of votes was underway for by-polls to Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency.
The counting for the seat, spread over three districts with a total of 15 assembly constituencies, started at 8 am.
The bypoll for the seat was conducted on April 9 and the repoll at some polling stations were held on April 13 after the segment witnessed large scale protests.
