Andhra Pradesh: Boat capsizes in Anantapur, 13 killed

Anantapur , Apr 28 (IBNS): At least 13 people were drowned when the ferry, in which they were travelling, capsized in a water body in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district on Friday, media reports said.

They were reportedly belonging to the same family.

Four people are still missing.

The mishap occurred in Yerra Timmaraju Cheruvu tank.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu mourned the loss of lives in the mishap.

"Saddened to hear about the boat mishap in Anantapur, the situation is being monitored and thorough search operations are being conducted," he tweeted.
