Video shows Mumbai cop trying to run down man in busy market

Mumbai, May 2 (IBNS): A shocking CCTV video has emerged showing a police constable trying to hit a pedestrian with his car in a busy market near Mumbai, media reports said.


The constable, who is not in uniform, has been identified as Ramesh Awate, media reports said.

In the video, it can be seen that he tries to run down the man, identified as Atul Pathe, with his Innova.

According to reports, the constable got angry when the victim asked him to  repay Rs. 3 lakhs that he had borrowed from the Pathe's mother.
