Kolkata, May 12 (IBNS): A fake doctor, who was held by state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from North Dinajpur district of West Bengal last week, reportedly was associated with a privately-run hospital in Kolkata, officials said.

According to reports, the young fake doctor, Kaiser Alam, had worked at Ruby General Hospital for more than a year.

"The man had worked at Ruby General Hospital as a Residential Medical Officer (RMO) from March, 2010 to September 2011," a senior CID official told IBNS.

"When we searched his room, we seized a certificate which was issued by a senior doctor of Ruby hospital. Kaiser was shown as a talented young doctor in the certificate," the official added.

Meanwhile, a CID team on Friday visited the private hospital in city's E.M. Bypass area and quizzed medical officers about Kaiser Alam's employment.

A CID source said that a show cause notice will be served to Ruby hospital soon.

Week ago, CID arrested two doctors- Kaiser Alam and Khusiinath Haldar, who were associated with government hospitals and practicing outside with all fake medical certificates and documents, from North Dinajpur and Jalpaiguri districts respectively and they both are in the state probe agency's custody.
