New Delhi, Jun 28 (IBNS): Meira Kumar, the opposition candidate for Presidential polls, is filing her nomination on Wednesday, according to media reports.

The media quoted former Lok Sabha speaker Kumar as saying that she will start her presidential campaign from Gujarat's Sabarmati Ashram.

On Tuesday,Kumar called upon all political parties to listen to the "voice of inner conscience," and said the unity of the 17 parties backing her is based on a "common ideology."

Referring to Nitish Kumar's JDU deciding to support NDA-nominee Ram Nath Kovind, Meira Kumar said  two days ago she had written a letter to all members of collegium seeking their support.

"I will decide what to do at the right time," she said.

She tweeted on Tuesday, "Tomorrow morning at 10 AM, I will pay homage at Rajghat and Samta Sthal, the samadhis of Mahatma Gandhi and my father, Babu Jagjivan Ram." She will then proceed to file her nominations.
