Narendra Modi meets Benjamin Netanyahu, calls his visit to Israel 'exceptional'

Tel Aviv, July 5 (IBNS): Calling his visit to Israel as exceptional, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he had 'productive discussions' with his counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu and I have had productive discussions covering an extensive menu of issues," Modi said.

Modi invited the PM to visit India.

Speaking on his visit to Israel, the Indian Prime Minister said: "I am honoured to be in Israel on this exceptional visit."

"Our goal is to build a relationship that reflects our shared priorities and draws on enduring bonds between our peoples," he said.

Speaking on his meeting with Netanyahu, Modi said: "Prime Minister Netanyahu and I agreed to do much more together to protect our strategic interests."

He said people of both the nations hold natural affinity and warmth for each other.

Modi reached Israel on Tuesday.
