Mamata reacts to CBFC's objection to specific words in a documentary featuring Amartya Sen
CBFC has asked to beep several words such as 'cow', 'Gujarat', 'Hindutva' in a documentary film 'The Argumentative Indian', which is directed by national award winning filmmaker Suman Ghosh.
Referring to the censor board's objections, she tweeted, "Every single voice of the opposition is being muzzled. Now, Dr Amartya Sen... "

Regarding the directives provided by the censor board, Suman Ghosh told NDTV: "I was quite shaken. I was shocked but I thought, I have to argue."
"The film was my comment on India. I feel disheartened because I wanted to convey certain thoughts and they are trying to stifle it," he added.
Sen, who will be seen in the film, earlier refused to make any comment, considering himself just a subject of the film.
The documentary was made by Ghosh over 15 years and was screened in Kolkata on July 10. It was screened in London and New York also.
