New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS): Amid the talks of merger of the two factions of AIADMK, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, media reports said.

Reports suggested the Prime Minister might play a role in merging the two camps which had fallen out after former TN CM J Jayalalitha's death.

After the demise of Jayalalitha, the AIADMK was divided into camps in a bitter power struggle.
While O Panneerselvam was the interim CM of the state after Jayalalitha's death, the then AIADMK general secretary Sasikala wanted to become the CM.

Though Sasikala was later convicted in his disproportionate assets case and was jailed, her fielded member E Palaniswami became the CM of the state.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
