Kashmir governor visits Leh to take stock of China border situation

Srinagar, Aug 17 (IBNS) Day after a skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra Thursday visited Leh and took stock of situation with army and other security officials.

 “Governor was briefed about the overall situation along the Line of Control  (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LaC) which fall within the
area of responsibility of army and also about certain other important matters relating to the Ladakh region,” an official said in a statement
issued here.

Vohra also visits 14 Corps Hqrs, Leh, where he was briefed by Lt. Gen PJS Pannu, Corps Commander and issues like connectivity and the difficulties being faced by the shepherds and grazers were discussed.
