Lashkar commander Abu Ismail, involved in Amarnath attack, gunned down in Kashmir encounter
Srinagar, Sep 14 (IBNS) : Security forces on Thursday gunned down Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Abu Ismail, who was involved in the attack on Amarnath pilgrims, reports said.
Another terrorist was also killed in the encounter that took place in Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Ismail was also the operations chief of the LeT in the valley.
Eight pilgrims were killed when militants attacked them on their way to Amarnath in July.
Details of the Nowgam encounter is awaited.
