Is woman wearing hijab caught on CCTV, Honeypreet?

New Delhi, Sep 26 (IBNS): A woman in a hijab in South Delhi, caught on CCTV, has been speculated to be arrested Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's suspected accomplice, Honeypreet Insan, media reports said.

Honeypreet Insan has been charged for her role in the spiraling violence after the arrest of the godman convicted in rape cases.

The CCTV footage, which has been handed over to police by a neighbour of Honeypreet's lawyer who lives in South Delhi, shows a woman wearing a hijab with a bag dangling from her arm.

At 7 on Tuesday morning, police had arrived at Honeypreet's residence in Great Kailash of South Delhi but failed to find her.

Honeypreet Insan aka Priyanka Taneja's lawyer has pleaded for a transit anticipatory bail for three weeks before the court. Honeypreet was projected as the adopted daughter of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

The bail plea by Honeypreet's lawyer revealed that Gurmeet's adopted daughter is in Greater Kailash area of South Delhi.

Honeypreet is also accused of conspiring the violence which occurred in Panchkula and Sirsa, immediately after Gurmeet's conviction, that killed 30 odd people.

A lookout notice has been issued for Honeypreet Insan by Haryana Police on September 1.

Honeypreet is the "adopted daughter" of the convicted chief, who was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of raping two of his female followers.

The Dera chief also broke down during the verdict and urged the judge to lighten his sentence, but was eventually granted 20 years, 10 years each for sexually exploiting two females.

In addition, the judge also ordered the dera chief to pay Rs 15 lakh compensation each to both the victims.
