Amit Shah inaugurates BJP's Janaraksha Yatra in Kerala against Leftist violence

Kannur, Oct 3 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, arrived in Kerala on Tuesday -- via Mangalore (Karnataka) -- to inaugurate his party's Janaraksha Yatra in Payyannur, according to media reports.

The Yatra (march) will end at the state capital Thiruvananthapuram on Oct 17. The march is against the Leftist violence, according to the party.

Earlier on Tuesday, Shah offered prayers at the Rajarajeswara Temple in Taliparamba.

"Took blessings of Lord Shiva at Rajarajeswara temple, Taliparamba, Kannur (Kerala). Har Har Mahadev." he tweeted.

His other activities include garlanding Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Payyannur and addressing a public meeting at Pilathara, according to party sources.
